Hans Hansen has been listening to, performing and creating music from a very early age.  Beginning with piano lessons at 5 years old he quickly wanted to expand  his skills to include guitar, percussion and voice.

Hans was very active in High School performing arts and supplemented his school’s program with summer camps at Blue Lake and Interlochen Fine Arts Camps.  He also played with the University of Michigan Youth Ensembles for many years.

 

His influences are diverse...his iTunes playlist includes contemporary performers like Joe Satrini and John Butler, Jazz musicians Charlie Parker and Joe Pass and classical composers Respighi and Holst.  All of this wonderful music serves as inspiration for Hans's songwriting.

Hans holds a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Studies from Michigan State University.  Hans can be found performing at venues around the Lansing, Detroit and Southwest Michigan.  During the summer he performs regularly at Greenfield Village

He hopes to share his love of music with others through performances and lessons for many years to come.
